Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality has come a long way in providing amazing experiences for video games. But it’s applications go way beyond entertainment and has the potential to revolutionize learning in the future.
The video game industry has experienced a transformation with the achievements of AR VR Tech, and has wooed consumers with its promising future of immersive and perceptually different experiences. Although it still has a long way to go before it will be able to impact lives on a deeper level, its applications have already begun to show a positive future. It has already started changing the way humans interact with information.
Owing to its underlying science, it holds the potential to transform learning and increase the pace at which mankind is evolving. The technology exposes its users to a dimension in which learning happens by means of confronting a subject matter in person rather than learning about it in theory, which changes the way the knowledge is absorbed. The user is able to remember the experience as an experiential memory as opposed to an observed theory. Research has shown that learning in AR/VR has about 30% higher retention rates. The video below shows some of the extended applications of AR VR tech along with one of the reasons why it’s important.
